3 minute natural DIY deodorant recipe you can make at home!
Store bought deodorants can contain aluminum to stop our bodies from sweating. Aluminum is harmful for our bodies though! Our kidneys need to work overtime to process it. Some countries require warnings to be placed on the packaging to notify users due to links to kidney disease. There are also links to breast cancer due to the proximity of the arm pits to the region it is applied. You can purchase a natural deodorant (here is a great website link if you want to purchase).
As a home made alternative, try the simple and quick home recipe for natural deodorant. It’s an easy alternative to store bought deodorant and allows you to pick and choose your favourite essential oils containing natural ingredients. All the products can be found in your kitchen pantry. I used a cream container for the natural deodorant recipe, but you’re able to use a jar or anything you fancy. I recommend going small. (my jar held a 50 ml face cream originally!)
Easy deodorant maker
- 1 Tbsp coconut oil
- 1/2 Tbsp Corn starch or arrowroot
- 1/2 tbsp bicarbonate soda
- 20-25 Drops Tea tree
- lemon myrtle or lemon
- Mix dry ingredients, then add coconut oil to thick paste. ? ?
- Add essential oils.
Added to this, some deodorants (unlike natural deodorant) produce a harsh spray which is bad for the environment. Protect your body and our lovely planet and follow the natural deodorant recipe above.
